When things are going well, the floor becomes like a family and the hall is like a neighborhood. The sense of community in the Residence Halls is only as strong as its members make it. Each member must contribute positively toward the sense of hall unity.<\/p>\n<h2>FYRE<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-563 alignright img-fluid\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2022\/06\/Res-Life-Painting.jpg\" alt=\"Bob Ross Painting Residential Life\" width=\"312\" height=\"234\" data-bp=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2022\/06\/Res-Life-Painting.jpg\"><a title=\"First Year Residential Experience\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/new-students\/community-living\/first-year-residential-experience\/\">FYRE (First Year Residential Experience)<\/a> helps new freshmen students easily make new friends, share similar experiences and successfully transition to college life. Students live in double rooms on a floor in either <a title=\"Oak\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/residence-halls\/oak-hall\/\">Oak<\/a> or <a title=\"Tamarack\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/residence-halls\/tamarack-hall\/\">Tamarack Hall<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>CAN<\/h2>\n<p>CAN (Community, Academics and Networking) is a continuation of FYRE but for upper-division students. Students develop the skills to succeed in their advanced courses and in life after college. Residents living in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/residence-halls\/birch-hall\/\">Birch<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/residence-halls\/linden-hall\/\">Linden<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/residence-halls\/pine-hall\/\">Pine<\/a> or upper-division student floors in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/reslife\/residence-halls\/oak-hall\/\">Oak<\/a> are automatically part of CAN.<\/p>\n<h2>Residence Hall Floor Communities<\/h2>\n<h3>Outdoors Community &mdash; Tamarack 7 &amp; 8<\/h3>\n<p>If the beauty and the opportunities of the Northwoods are what drew you to BSU, this is the floor for you! The outdoors-themed communities offer activities and events such as canoeing, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking and other various outdoor activities. Come make lifelong friends with people who share your passion for the outdoors and nature!<\/p>\n<h3>Rainbow Residence Community &mdash; Oak 1C<\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"contentpasted2\" style=\"line-height: 19.6px\"><span style=\"color: black;line-height: 19.6px\">Rainbow Residence is an inclusive community for 2SLGBTQIA+ and allies. This floor is for folx who are action-takers and want to advocate for justice, diversity, equity and inclusion.
