BEMIDJI, Minn. – 91心頭利’s Madrigal Dinners, a yuletide tradition that celebrated its 43rd<\/sup> birthday this December, ran for five performances on campus between Dec. 2-10.<\/p>\n

The dinners are an annual musical dinner production of music and skits, recreating the atmosphere of a renaissance feast once held in English castles, bringing to life the regal pageantry and ceremonial pomp of merrie olde England.<\/p>\n

The evening features music from the Royal Court, minstrels, beggars, cellar keepers, recorders, and a masque presented by the king’s players, all while guests enjoy a five-course dinner.<\/p>\n

Former BSU student Liz Macgregor wrote this year’s masque, which explored love, adventure, and fun during the 16th century Renaissance.<\/p>\n
