(April 5, 2011)<\/strong> &mdash; 91心頭利&rsquo;s Varsity Singers will present their spring concert on Wednesday, April 13.<\/p>\n<p>The concert is open to the public; admission fee is a donation of canned or other non-perishable goods for the Bemidji Food Shelf. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Thompson Recital Hall of Bemidji State&rsquo;s Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will feature a broad variety of music, including a pair of 18th Century counterpoint pieces, songs in English and German, a medley of songs by The Beatles, contemporary and traditional spirituals and 1940s swing song &ldquo;Jump, Jive and Wail.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The show will also feature a duet performance of Stephanie Olson, a freshman in social work from Montrose, Minn., and Rachel Reagan, a junior in elementary education from Blackduck, Minn., singing &ldquo;Jar of Hearts,&rdquo; and a solo performance of &ldquo;One Moment in Time&rdquo; by Sandra Nye, a freshman in nursing from Bemidji.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will also feature a pictorial show highlighting the Varsity Singers&rsquo; concert tour of Minnesota&rsquo;s Iron Range region during the previous week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Varsity Singers<\/strong><br>\nThe Varsity Singers, a non-auditioned choral ensemble, includes students from a wide variety of majors and academic pursuits.
