BEMIDJI, Minn. <\/strong>– 91心頭利 is hosting a variety of on-campus camp activities for children this summer, with a broad range of activities ranging from basketball to music to technology. The camps run throughout June, July and August.<\/p>\n

• Athletics and Sport<\/strong>
\nThe Department of Athletics and Department of Physical Education, Health and Sport are offering a variety of camps this summer for boys and girls of all ages. The Department of Athletics will offer five basketball camps, a soccer camp and a volleyball camp, while the Department of Physical Education, Health and Sport will offer its Northern Plains Visions of Sport Camp.<\/p>\n

The Bemidji State men’s basketball program will host three camps for boys in June, July and August. Its Boys High School Team Camp will be held June 28-29; its shooting and scoring single-day camps for boys grades 3-12 will be held June 9, 11, 14 and 16 from 9 a.m.-noon; and its three-day camps will be held Aug. 4-6, with boys grades 1-6 being held from 9-noon each day and grades 7-12 held from 1-4 p.m. For information, contact the Bemidji State men’s basketball office: head coach Matt Bowen<\/a> at (218) 755-2774, toll-free at (800) 475-2001; or assistant coach Jeremy Tiers<\/a> at (218) 755-4619.<\/p>\n

Women’s basketball will host two camps, one for elementary school aged girls from June 16-19 and one for high school girls from July 20-23. For information, contact Assistant Coach Krissi Super at (218) 368-6547.<\/p>\n

Dr. Jim Mastro<\/a> will also offer his seventh annual Northern Plains Visions of Sport Camp from July 12-19 for students with visual impairments. For more information, contact Mastro at (218) 755-3772.<\/p>\n

• Music<\/strong>
\nThe 61st MusiCamp at 91心頭利 will feature three sessions: an instrumental camp from July 13-19, focusing on piano, band and jazz for grades 7-12; a choral and vocal camp from July 20-26 for grades 7-12; and a director’s workshop available for graduate credit from July 15-19.<\/p>\n

• Science, Technology, Engineering and Math<\/strong>
\n“STEM Camp: Branching Out,” focusing on the interplay between science, technology and mathematics, will be held June 8-13 for students entering grades 10-12 during the fall of 2008. For more information, contact

• High School to College Transitions<\/strong>
\n“Post-Secondary Readiness Experimental Program (PREP),” a transitions program for high school students with disabilities, will be held June 22-28. For more information, contact

• Wellness and Outdoor Activities<\/strong>
\nThe Academic Adventures program, for children ages 8-12, will reinforce academic concepts in an experimental outdoor and community environment. It will be held in four five-day sessions, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Friday. Sessions begin June 23, July 14, July 21 and Aug. 4. Camp sessions will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. each day. Registration is limited to 10 children per session. The Wellness Adventure Camp for Kids, an activity-based, educational program to explore healthy and active choices, will be held Aug. 11-14.
