Minnesota State Colleges and Universities<\/i><\/a> system and provides those students with an outlet to share the results of their scholarly activity with legislators and other government officials. The event will draw attention to the work being done on the MnSCU campuses around the state and provides another opportunity to elevate the system’s reputation as a leader in undergraduate research and creative works.<\/p>\nThe application process is a competitive process, with participants from the seven MnSCU Universities. Campus contact persons help publicize the event at on their campus and coordinate student selection for participation. Minnesota Undergraduate Scholars will display, in poster format, the work of 25-30 exceptional undergraduates from seven MnSCU Universities and 5 Community Colleges at the State Capitol in St. Paul.<\/p>\n
The nine BSU students participating are: Emily Francisco, a senior criminal justice major from Bemidji; Kelli Kavanah, a senior psychology major from Monticello; Amanda Kooiker, a sophomore biology major from Pipestone; Roma Korzinksi, a senior applied engineering and technology management major from International Falls; Daniela Maltais, a pre-medicine, psychology major from Bemidji; <\/b>Taylor Manzella, a sophomore pre-medicine, biology major from Sartell; Katelyn Mohagen, a senior psychology major from St. Cloud; Tayler Smith, a freshman biology major from Moose Lake; Kenia Torres, a junior psychology major from Milan.<\/p>\n
