{"id":23049,"date":"2016-03-04T09:58:44","date_gmt":"2016-03-04T15:58:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/?p=23049"},"modified":"2016-03-04T09:58:44","modified_gmt":"2016-03-04T15:58:44","slug":"lakeland-ptv-bemidji-student-senates-unite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/2016\/03\/04\/lakeland-ptv-bemidji-student-senates-unite\/","title":{"rendered":"Lakeland PTV: Bemidji Student Senates Unite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Students at two Bemidji institutions are uniting for change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The student senates at Northwest Technical College and Bemidji State met as one group for the first time ever on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">They had formed a partnership in the last month, attending each other&rsquo;s meetings with the goal of making everyone feel welcome on both campuses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Due to differences in size and programs, senate leaders say there&rsquo;s a disconnect between the schools. Bemidji State tends to have more membership stability, since students often stay for four year degrees.
