{"id":22757,"date":"2016-02-16T09:43:57","date_gmt":"2016-02-16T15:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/?p=22757"},"modified":"2016-02-29T09:54:21","modified_gmt":"2016-02-29T15:54:21","slug":"its-expanding-use-of-starid-in-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/2016\/02\/16\/its-expanding-use-of-starid-in-march\/","title":{"rendered":"ITS Expanding Use of StarID Beginning March 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Beginning March 8, Information Technology Services will expand 91心頭利&rsquo;s use of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities StarID as the login credential for on-campus computers and for a variety of online services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Expanded StarID rollout will happen March 8 for BSU faculty, staff and student workers and March 10 for all students. After these dates<span class=\"s1\">, you will be unable to access BSU computers, campus Wi-Fi and most BSU online services unless you know your StarID and password. You can look up your StarID or reset your password at: <a href=\"http:\/\/starid.mnscu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span class=\"s2\">http:\/\/starid.mnscu.edu<\/span><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The expanded use of StarID is part of an initiative to improve security for the university&rsquo;s electronic services and to streamline login procedures across a variety of services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Beginning March 8, your current login credentials will no longer function, and you must use StarID to log in. Some examples of services moving to StarID include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">BSU faculty computers<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">MyBSU<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Office365 email and OneDrive<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">public computers on campus, including student lab computers<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">PaperCut printer authentication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition, you will now need StarID to log into the campus Wi-Fi network and into any BSU email accounts you have added to personal computers or mobile devices.
