{"id":14624,"date":"2008-01-31T11:03:02","date_gmt":"2008-01-31T17:03:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/bsutoday\/2008\/01\/31\/symphonic-band-welcomes-community-members\/"},"modified":"2021-11-01T15:59:30","modified_gmt":"2021-11-01T20:59:30","slug":"symphonic-band-welcomes-community-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/2008\/01\/31\/symphonic-band-welcomes-community-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Symphonic Band welcomes community members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BEMIDJI, Minn.<\/strong> &ndash; Community musicians are invited to join the 91心頭利 Symphonic Band, a non-auditioned ensemble that performs a variety of music in a concert band setting.<\/p>\n<p>The band rehearses from 7-9 p.m., Mondays, in Room 112 of the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex and typically performs two or three concerts a year with the summers off.<\/p>\n<p>In October, the band launched its inaugural Halloween Concert with music from Harry Potter, the Broadway show &ldquo;Wicked,&rdquo; &ldquo;Wizard of Oz&rdquo; and &ldquo;Phantom of the Opera.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In April, the band will perform its second annual PRISM concert in which a wide variety of music is presented continuously with no pause between pieces.
