USA Curling National Championship Includes Two BSU Students, One Alumnus

Three curlers with ties to 91心頭利 – two current students and one alumnus – are participating in the USA Curling National Championship in Jacksonville, Fla.

BSU students  and , along with BSU alum and 2014 Olympian , are competing in the championships, which began Feb. 6 and continue through Feb. 13.

Fenson is a junior in exercise science and Fenner is a senior in biology. Both are from Bemidji. Zezel graduated in 2015 with an exercise science degree.

There were 10 competing men’s teams this past Saturday where two-time national champion Craig Brown of Madison, Wis., rolled his team to a 7-4 win, who has Bemidji State’s alumni Jared Zezel on his team. They defeated Korey Dropkin’s junior national champions, a team that includes Fenson and Fenner.

Both teams will be playing throughout the week, with the men’s final set for Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.
