Women鈥檚 History Month activities begin Monday

The women’s studies and gender studies programs at 91看片网 are kicking off their recognition of Women’s History Month with a Women in Leadership Week.

The presentation series will feature a different woman each day talking about volunteer and career opportunities in Bemidji and beyond. The workshops will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Gathering Place at BSU’s American Indian Resource Center and are open free to the public. Refreshments will be available.

Monday, March 3
 (Twitter: ), founding dean of the , will present a workshop on community health entitled “Honor, Empowerment and Quality: Our Time to Impact Health Care.”

Tuesday, March 4
Bemidji Mayor  (Twitter: ) will present a workshop on civic engagement.

Wednesday, March 5
, local business owner, will discuss entrepreneurship.

Thursday, March 6
Local social service consultants, , professor emerita of social work at BSU, and Mary Thrash, adjunct faculty in social work at BSU, will present a workshop on community service.

Women’s History Month Film Screenings
BSU is also holding free film screenings at 7 p.m. on March 6 and March 7 in Hagg-Sauer 100. Free popcorn will be available.
