Talley Gallery presents "Drawn from the Balkans”

Ivan Ninov, considered the leading graphic artist in Bulgaria, will be featured at 91Ƭ’s Talley Gallery beginning March 18.

Ninov’s exhibit, “Drawn from the Balkans,” will feature a collection of Ninov’s powerful, expressive drawings and prints. His style has been described as “monumental and harsh” while displaying Ninov’s “inner strength and power.”

Ninov has been featured in nearly all art shows in Bulgaria since 1970, and his work has been exhibited throughout Europe, Asia and North America. He was born in 1946 and graduated from art school in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1969. Since 1970, he has been featured in more than 50 significant exhibitions of graphic art and has received more than a half-dozen awards for his work.

Located in Bensen Hall room 212 on the campus of 91Ƭ, the Talley Gallery is barrier-free and open at no charge to the public. All activities in the Talley Gallery are supported by the University’s Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee and 91Ƭ’s Department of Visual Arts.

Hours for the Talley Gallery are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All activities in the Talley Gallery are supported by funds from 91Ƭ’s Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee.
