Your credit evaluation will be available in eServices on your electronic Degree Audit Report (DAR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transferable Credit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>BSU accepts the following sources of credit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All college-level course credits from regionally-accredited colleges and universities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/admissions\/transfer\/transferring-credits\/ap-and-clep-equivalencies\/\"><u>Advanced Placement (AP) and College Level Exam Program (CLEP)<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BSU will grant credit for scores of 4 or higher on individual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">International Baccalaureate<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a> examinations or successful completion of the IB diploma<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.minnstate.edu\/board\/procedure\/335p3.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Military credits<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a> evaluated using American Council on Education (ACE) recommendations. Find your <a href=\"https:\/\/jst.doded.mil\/official.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><u>Joint Services Transcript (JST)<\/u><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passing DSST\/DANTES exam scores<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/distance\/student-resources\/credit-for-prior-learning\/\"><u>Credit for Prior Learning<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PSEO or College in the High School credit &ndash; have an official transcript sent from the institutions at which you earned these credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical\/skill-based credits from technical colleges. BSU degree programs can include up to 16 transferred technical credits. Some programs apply more than 16 technical credits toward degree requirements, such as RN-BS Nursing, Applied Management, and Applied Engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Credits from non-accredited schools may be reviewed by major department faculty for inclusion or substitution into your major <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/mybsu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/2020-SubstituteTransfer-Equivalency.pdf\"><u>upon request<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transferology.com\/school\/bemidjistate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><u>Transferology<\/u><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a> to find classes that transfer into BSU&rsquo;s liberal education goal areas and possibly into academic majors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transfer Limits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no limit to the number of credits a student may transfer, but all BSU degree programs require a minimum number of credits earned at BSU. Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/academics\/catalog\/current\/content\/539\">BSU catalog<\/a> for more information. Developmental and\/or remedial credits (typically numbered lower than 100\/1000) <strong>do not&nbsp;<\/strong>transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&rsquo;s important to note that we do not transfer college GPAs, only the earned credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Degree Audit Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon our initial evaluation, certain transfer courses may not have BSU equivalencies and will transfer as general or technical electives. If you want to use these courses in your major, you can complete and submit a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/mybsu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/11\/2020-SubstituteTransfer-Equivalency.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Transfer Equivalency Form<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;to the BSU Records office. A BSU advisor can assist you with this process.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/offices\/president\/policies\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/79\/2023\/03\/Undergraduate-Transfer-Credit-Acceptance-Policy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Find additional transfer policy information<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find your Degree Audit Report by following the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/mybsu\/\">MyBSU<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select E-services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open Academic Records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download Degree Audit Report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transferring a Degree<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Associate of Arts (AA)<\/strong>. Designed to transfer into most bachelor&rsquo;s degree programs. Includes Transfer Pathway AA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Associate of Science (AS)<\/strong>. Designed for transfer into a <em>specific<\/em> four-year major and will likely require completing additional liberal education courses at BSU. Includes Transfer Pathway AS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Associate of Fine Arts (AFA)<\/strong>. Designed for transfer into a <em>specific<\/em> four-year major and may require completing additional liberal education courses at BSU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Associate of Applied Science (AAS)<\/strong>. Designed for training in a specific occupation. While some courses may transfer, the degree is not designed for transfer. Our Bachelor of Applied Science programs accept 30 or more credits from most technical AAS degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bemidji State is a proud member of the Minnesota State system of colleges and universities. We accept the MnTC and all courses designated in MnTC goal areas at the member schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who have completed all 10 goal areas in the MnTC at a college or university, we will consider your BSU core curriculum requirements&nbsp;<strong>complete<\/strong>&nbsp;in transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who haven&rsquo;t&nbsp;<em>completed<\/em>&nbsp;the MnTC, we will accept all courses in the MnTC individually. BSU will place those credits in the same goal area in which they were earned at the issuing institution. (Goal area 4 there = goal area 4 here.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that MnTC requirements between colleges may be different. While a minimum of 40 credits is common, there are differences in the number of credits required in each of the 10 goal areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please contact an advisor with questions about MnTC, or about any other course transferability issues.
