To help you navigate your life outside the classroom, this page includes information on ID cards, technology services, parking, housing & dining, health & support services and the bookstore.<\/p>\n

Student ID Card<\/h3>\n

You are\u00a0required to have an ID card to use the Library<\/a>, access the Gillett Recreation\/Fitness Center<\/a> facilities, or print in any computer lab. This web page covers the process of ordering your ID card<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Technology Services<\/h3>\n
Email<\/h5>\n

You will receive a BSU email account<\/a>, which you are required to activate and check for\u00a0all official communications<\/strong>. To activate, visit myBSU<\/a> and select New Account Activation.<\/p>\n

Wireless<\/h5>\n

Connecting to the BSU wireless network<\/a> requires a username, password and proper configuration of your computer. Please contact (in person) Technical Support in Deputy Hall, Room 161 with a current and valid BSU ID to obtain your username and password.<\/p>\n

Computer Labs<\/h5>\n

Informational Technology Services<\/a> provides a number of labs<\/a> for the university community. You will find computers in the library, some classroom buildings, and residence halls.<\/p>\n

Student Services and Help Desk<\/h5>\n

Do not hesitate to reach out to the Student Help Desk\u00a0with any issues or challenges you encounter; this includes distance students!
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Student Services portion of the Informational Technologies website provides students immediate information and assistance for topics such as email, D2L login, e-Services, etc. If you have a more challenging question that cannot be answered so easily, you may submit a “Help Ticket<\/a>” to the Help Desk for further assistance. The Student Help Desk also provides telephone and walk-in support and assistance connecting to the BSU network.<\/p>\n

Parking<\/h3>\n

The Office of Public Safety<\/a> provides parking permits<\/a> for lots on campus<\/a>.\u00a0Street parking is free but subject to the city’s parking regulations, and BSU provides ample disabled parking for those who need it.\u00a0Here are links to a\u00a0campus map<\/a>\u00a0and directions<\/a>\u00a0if you need them.<\/p>\n

Housing & Dining<\/h3>\n

You’ll find many housing<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>options on and off campus. If you live off campus you might want to use our\u00a0campus lockers\u00a0(managed by HMU) that are free to BSU registered students!<\/p>\n

We have a number of on-campus dining options<\/a> and many of the city’s best restaurants and cafes are a short distance from campus.<\/p>\n

Beaver Bucks<\/h5>\n

You can\u00a0deposit money onto your ID card for buying food and other things on campus. Visit the Dining Services Office<\/a>,\u00a0Cashiers Office (Deputy Hall) or\u00a0buy more Beaver Bucks online<\/a> once you’ve created an account.<\/p>\n

Health & Support Services<\/h3>\n

We offer an on-campus health and counseling service facility<\/a> for all students.<\/p>\n

All students are required to have health insurance. BSU does not offer its own plans but can help you in finding coverage if you need it.\u00a0Visit our Student Health & Counseling<\/a>\u00a0site for more information.<\/p>\n

Bookstore<\/h3>\n

For textbooks, apparel, gifts and more, the BSU Bookstore<\/a> is on the 1st floor of Hobson Memorial Union.<\/p>\n
