Each have different sets of qualifications. Bemidji State also offers scholarships for which you are considered automatically when you are admitted. It&rsquo;s that easy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bemidjistate.academicworks.com\/users\/sign_in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">91心頭利 for Biology Scholarships<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Available Scholarships<\/h2>\n<h3>STEM Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Award:<\/b> Up to $15,000 per year for up to 5 years to cover the full cost of attendance (tuition, fees, housing, meals, etc.).<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Criteria:<\/b> Student enrolled at least half-time with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Must be Pell-eligible.<\/p>\n<h3>Aquatic Biology Annual Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria:<\/strong> Student must be a junior or senior majoring in aquatic biology with a minimum 3.0 GPA.<\/p>\n<h3>Ernest and Victoria Baker Science and Music Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology or music with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Ernest and Victoria Baker Science and Music Scholarship alternates with the Department of Music.<\/p>\n<h3>Harold Borchers Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in biology. Scholarship is determined by a student&rsquo;s interest in biology, work ethic and commitment to scientific excellence; the minimum 3.0 GPA requirement is not as important as other selection criteria for this award.<\/p>\n<h3>Gurnee Bridgeman Biology Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student is a declared Biology major with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Scholarship preference is as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>a graduate student doing original research in biology;<\/li>\n<li>an undergraduate student working to complete his or her capstone experience;<\/li>\n<li>other undergraduate Biology majors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Noel Clay Science Abroad Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Awarded to a student majoring in biology or chemistry with minimum 3.0 GPA to help defray the costs of participation in a short-term academic program outside the United States. The Noel Clay Science Abroad Scholarship alternates with the Department of Chemistry.<\/p>\n<h3>Caroline M. Czarnecki Biology Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology with a minimum 3.0 GPA.<\/p>\n<h3>Drs. Dick and Eleanore Edwards Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology or music with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Drs. Dick and Eleanore Edwards Scholarship alternates with the Department of Music.<\/p>\n<h3>Enbridge Energy Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior in any biology departmental program, including pre-professional students, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference given to a U.S. citizen from northern Minnesota, or a Canadian citizen from southern Ontario or Manitoba.<\/p>\n<h3>Fishing for Fun Emeriti Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology or chemistry, minimum of 3.25 GPA. The Department of Biology and the Department of Chemistry will award one scholarship annually in each department.<\/p>\n<h3>Evan B. Hazard Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior with a minimum 3.5 GPA and have completed at least one of the following BSU courses: Entomology, Ornithology, Plant Diversity, Mammalogy or Evolution.<\/p>\n<h3>Henderson, Patton and Jones Science Memorial Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology, chemistry, physics, environmental studies or an appropriate pre-professional program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Scholarship also has a preference to a BSU student who is a direct relative of Mr. Bernie Henderson, Mr. Bud Patton or Mr. Bill Jones, all former Sattgast Hall custodians. This scholarship rotates among the above-listed departments.<\/p>\n<h3>Charles S. Holt Memorial Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student majoring in aquatic biology with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Extracurricular involvement on and off campus will be considered, with preference given to a student who volunteers in aquatic biology-related activities.<\/p>\n<h3>Robert Kramer Memorial Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in aquatic biology with a minimum 3.0 GPA.<\/p>\n<h3>Ruth Lane Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in biology or chemistry with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Ruth Lane Scholarship alternates with the Department of Chemistry.<\/p>\n<h3>Rhonda Syverson Levinski Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology or life science with a minimum 3.5 GPA.<\/p>\n<h3>Harry Melby Science Memorial Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology, chemistry, physics, environmental studies or an appropriate pre-professional program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Harry Melby Science Memorial Scholarship rotates among the above listed departments.<\/p>\n<h3>Sidney M. Melby Memorial Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology, chemistry, physics or music, with strong interest and talent in one or more of these fields with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Sidney M. Melby Memorial Scholarship rotates among the above-listed departments.<\/p>\n<h3>Edwin Nordheim Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology and a related pre-professional program with a minimum 3.3 GPA.<\/p>\n<h3>Harold T. Peters Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in biology with a minimum 3.0 GPA.<\/p>\n<h3>Miriam Jaakola Savacheck Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Award is presented to a junior or senior female student planning to enter medical school with a minimum 3.3 GPA. Extracurricular involvement on and\/or off-campus is required, with preference given to a student who volunteers\/employed within the medical community.<\/p>\n<h3>Spry Environmental Science Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Awarded to a Native American student majoring in biology or environmental studies with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference given to Native American students who are members, or descendents, of one of the seven Ojibwe tribes in Minnesota. The Spry Environmental Science Scholarship alternates with the Center for Environmental, Earth and Space Studies.<\/p>\n<h3>Mary Helen Tarter Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in biology or chemistry with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The Mary Helen Tarter Scholarship alternates with the Department of Chemistry.<\/p>\n<h3>Patrick T. Trihey Science Teachers Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior, senior or returning senior having a declared Life Science or Science major with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student with a combined Life Science and Science major.<\/p>\n<h3>Ruth Warde Research Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a junior or senior majoring in biology or chemistry with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a current research project in the area of human medicine or health care, preferably related to the treatment and\/or cure of a disease. The Warde Research Scholarship alternates with the Department of Chemistry.<\/p>\n<h3>Julie Wegner Scholarship in Aquatic Biology<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in aquatic biology with a minor and\/or an emphasis in wetlands ecology and a minimum 3.0 GPA.<\/p>\n<h3>Sam and Peggy Johnson Scholarship in Biology<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Student must be entering or enrolled at 91心頭利 who are majoring in biology.<\/p>\n<h3>Megan and Jeremy Fogelson Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Awarded to a student majoring in biology or chemistry with a minimum 3.5 GPA. The Fogelson Scholarship alternates with the Department of Chemistry.<\/p>\n<h3>Bemidji Area Retention Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Criteria: <\/strong>Preference for students living in the Bemidji &ldquo;area&rdquo; (about a 40 mile radius of Bemidji). Preference to Elem\/Secondary Education, Music or Science majors. Preference to single parents or Native Americans.
