Earn a master of science degree in biology, with a thesis or non-thesis option.<\/p>\n
The master of science is the highest degree awarded by the Department of Biology. It reflects the range and depth of biology sub-disciplines and broadens students’ expertise. The thesis option is primarily on campus and in the field and includes an original thesis based on research under the mentorship of a thesis faculty member. The non-thesis option does note include original research but does incorporate a capstone course. The non-thesis option has several options for online course delivery.<\/p>\n
Graduate research culminates in an original thesis or completion of an exhaustive work of a scholarly nature. Students must consult with their graduate academic advisor in biology before developing their program.<\/p>\n
